God First, Other's Second, I'm Third, a lifestyle we strive to live by!
We are in the business of making kids feel famous!
Here at K-Kountry, we use every chance we get to make Kampers feel known, valued, and special! When you walk in on Opening Day and see your Kamper on the platform getting cheered for, we want to make them feel like a celebrity!
You might hear your kiddo say words like "Bumblebee" or "Spirit Award" and we will fill you in on how special these awards are!
Bumblebee awards are given out 3 times a week, they are given to Kampers who demonstrated a great attitude, team work, and gave it their all in Klinics! Bumblee Awards are given for Tennis Klinic, All-Sport Klinic, Volleyball Klinic, Soccer Klinic, Gymnastics Klinic, Basketball Klinic,Cheer and Dance Klinic, Football Klinic, and Baseball Klinic! Counselors will perform a skit that will announce the winner of the Klinics Bumblebee!
VIP (Very Important Person) Is a really fun award! VIP's are awarded at K-LIife in front of the whole kamp and get to sit in the next level loft during K-Life. Not to mention, they get soda and candy! Pretty sweet deal, huh? The VIP award is given to Kampers who go out of their way to seek the needs of others, and Kampers who stand out throughout the week! Only 6 people win this award all week!
A "Character Quality" is a Barn Award, that is given and written by the counselors. Each counselor chooses 2 characteristics that describe their Kampers and write sentences about their character, and things they've seen in them throughout the week! During Closing Ceremonies, Parents will have the opportunity to be apart of this! Each Kamper will also recieve a barn award, this is so special!
"The Spike Award" is an all Kamp award that is announced at Closing Ceremonies. This award is given to Kampers who have displayed Christ-Like character as Paul describes in Galatians 2:20.
"The Unsung Hero Award" is an all Kamp award that is announced at Closing Ceremonies. This award is given to Kampers who have displayed an act of courage, unwavering character, or caring for others without seeking recognition or attention just as the widow did in Luke 21:1-4.
The "Total Release Award" is an all Kamp award that is announced at Closing Ceremonies. This award recognizes the Kamper that goes above and beyond in all they do. The Kamper who is not afraid of anything! The Kamper that chugs a whole gallon of orange juice at breakfast, the Kamper that dances everywhere they go, the Kamper that brings life to its surroundings.
The "I'm Third Award" is the highest honor at Kanakuk. This Award recognizes the Kamper who lives out the I'm Third Lifestyle, God First, Other's Second, and I'm Third. This Kamper seeks out the interest of others, before theirself because they love the Lord with their whole heart.
