Isn’t it hard to believe that in just a few days we’ll be entering a new decade?

Christmas is only a few days away! Each year during the holiday season, Kanakuk President Joe White shares a Christmas poem as a beautiful reminder of the true reason for the Christmas holiday. Enjoy this year's poem, as you prepare to spend time with friends and family next week. We wish our entire Kanakuk family a wonderfully Merry Christmas!

We’re entering the season of Advent! As Believers, this season brings hope and celebration, as we pause to remember the miraculous arrival of Jesus. Although the holidays get busy, it’s important to pause and remember the eternal impact of our Savior’s coming.

A servant’s heart is selfless and gives freely, despite a culture that encourages pride and selfishness.

Intentional gratitude is always top-of-mind this time of year, with Thanksgiving quickly approaching. With the hustle and bustle of life, it’s often easy to forget that expressing gratitude applies to all seasons of our lives. As believers, we are called to be grateful in all situations and to live with the joy of the Lord.

Every valley makes way for a mountain to rise.

If you check out last week’s blog post, you caught our introduction to October’s series on prayer. As believers, there are different aspects and avenues of prayer depending on our needs, desires and current season of life. Last week, we walked through what it looks like to approach prayer during life’s seasons of waiting.

Our lives are full of changing seasons. In terms of weather and personal growth, life is a series of highs and lows, mountaintops and valleys. Seasons are especially distinguishable here at Kamp, because summer is BY FAR our most favorite time of the year!

In the Old Testament, God traveled with the Israelites in different forms to protect them. The Israelites knew that their God was fighting for them because they could physically see God going before them and behind them.

How comforting is it to know that we have a heavenly Father who loves us no matter what?
