A servant’s heart is selfless and gives freely, despite a culture that encourages pride and selfishness.

Intentional gratitude is always top-of-mind this time of year, with Thanksgiving quickly approaching. With the hustle and bustle of life, it’s often easy to forget that expressing gratitude applies to all seasons of our lives. As believers, we are called to be grateful in all situations and to live with the joy of the Lord.

Every valley makes way for a mountain to rise.

If you check out last week’s blog post, you caught our introduction to October’s series on prayer. As believers, there are different aspects and avenues of prayer depending on our needs, desires and current season of life. Last week, we walked through what it looks like to approach prayer during life’s seasons of waiting.

Our lives are full of changing seasons. In terms of weather and personal growth, life is a series of highs and lows, mountaintops and valleys. Seasons are especially distinguishable here at Kamp, because summer is BY FAR our most favorite time of the year!

In the Old Testament, God traveled with the Israelites in different forms to protect them. The Israelites knew that their God was fighting for them because they could physically see God going before them and behind them.

How comforting is it to know that we have a heavenly Father who loves us no matter what?

During our lives as believers, we are constantly learning new things about our Father. The journey to fully know Him is never over, because his power and love for us is so immense! As we answer our call to worship, it’s important to know our God and why He is worthy of all our praise.

If you’ve spent summer at any camp, you’ve likely experienced a “Camp High” or a “mountaintop experience.” Whether you attend for one, two or four weeks, Kanakuk is always stocked full of moments that remind us of our Creator and our purpose. These are the moments that make us feel closer to Him than ever before.

Today, we wave farewell to another amazing summer at Kamp! How is it already time to say “see ya later?!”
